🙄
We got to our vacation destination.
All were excited.
Everything had been going as planned and then some,
Until Issac asked to go swimming.
Every kid loves to go straight to the pool.
Right?
Which is awesome…. when the parents pack the suitcase…
Which I did,
BUT,
I left it at our house!
So, Holy Guest brings up a previous scripture from last week.
Saturday to be exact..
(I hope you realize by now, just how precious and personal our Father is.)
I blazed right by it, Psalms 103 and the bag.
“Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name. Bless and affectionately praise the LORD, O my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits;”
Psalms 103:1-2 AMP
And do not Forget any of his benefits!
Sometimes, it’s not that Father hasn’t packed the promises for us,
It’s that we forget them.
A sweet thing happened, we were able to all pull together and clothe my little buddy.
At first, so that he didn’t miss pool time, his little cousin, Hudson, let him wear some of his swimming trunks.
A little snug, but they got him in the pool!
That’s like an encouragement from a brother and sister at the right time.
Reminding you of truth.
Holy Guest, reminded me of this Word, for this particular example:
“So receive my correction no matter how hard it is to swallow, for wisdom will snap you back into place— her words will be invigorating life to you.”
Proverbs 4:13 TPT
Sometimes a little too tight Word is exactly what we need to jolt us out of apathy!
Especially, when we have forgotten our benefits.
While battling symptoms, a friend encourages us that the Truth is, we’re healed..
We retort, or may just think.. “yeah, but you don’t understand how I feel..”
But their response is a tight one…
The Word says, By His Stripes,
You were Healed- don’t look to how you feel.
I guess for Issac, and us, the enjoyment and blessing would follow our response to the snuggies!
If we receive it and move forward we can swim,
If we gripe that their not exactly what we want to wear, we stay inside.
Then we move to the blessing of parents and grandparents, who are wise and packed a little extra cash, that they had put back for vacation.
(That’s like hiding God’s Word in our hearts)
Even though it could have been used elsewhere, vacation is about blessing each other.
So we covered my Issac in some fresh new duds!
Wisdom shares-
Shares mercy and grace to the one who failed, and extravagant love to the one without.
That’s who and what we have in Jesus.
No matter where we find ourselves, we are never without.
The one who promised to never leave or forsake us is on standby,
Waiting to unpack more promises.
I never have to travel without Him..
And neither do you!
