“You are our letter [of recommendation], written in our hearts, recognized and read by everyone.”
2 Corinthians 3:2 AMP
I shared the other day on the vlog I’m working on, How Grace is not a one hit wonder.
What Grace began, real Grace completes.
You know the tune.. ‘Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear,
And Grace my fears relieved!
Real Grace is not a one time incident.
Remember all those teen bop icons that will pop up in magazine aisles asking “Where Are They Now?”
This scripture both encouraged and scrutinized me, as it brought that line of thinking.
You are our letter [of recommendation], written in our hearts, recognized and read by everyone.”
2 Corinthians 3:2 AMP
If I’m really ministering Grace, then those I’ve ministered to, should be in and of themselves, evidence of what they are hearing.
Rather, like I’ve said before, heeding.
I think of my direct lineage, first,
My children.
What is their epistle?
The Word gives clear guidance on what the family of ministry should look like.
Check out the book of Titus.
Even for Paul, not all of his epistles were always acting right, but they were growing.
We should all be conforming to the image of Jesus from faith to faith.
Look for the good and celebrate.
In this season, I’ve been tempted to look at what’s not happening, instead of what is.
A turn in our lives has caused our garden to take a backseat.
As I look at the overgrown mass of weeds, it’s hard to see the fruit.
But it’s there.
And, my Father has opened my eyes to focus on the voluntary grace plants that have sprouted from the fruit of last year.
Transitioning our minds from works to Grace is not an easy feat.
It requires us to look forward.
Not back.
By faith, we realize, that we didn’t even, or couldn’t even do, what only God did.
That’s Grace.
He’s kept the fruit bearing seed going until now.
He started the Garden.
It was His idea.
Not mine!
Trust the Seed!
There’s more where that came from.
