“You were like sheep that continually wandered away, but now you have returned to the true Shepherd of your lives—the kind Guardian who lovingly watches over your souls.”
1 Peter 2:25 TPT
This is just a sweet addition to the swell of my heart yesterday, pondering on The Father sending out angels to watch guard over us.
Now, we see Jesus, guarding, by lovingly watching out for our souls.
He said himself, in Revelation that he would open doors for us the no man could shut, and shut doors for us that no man could open.
That was a halting scripture for me, to just, be at ease.
As if the Chief Commander said to “HALT!”
I needed to cease from my own efforts of trying to control my life.
Isn’t it crazy to think that we have to fend for ourselves when we call Him Father?
But the struggle is real.
Not on His side.
On ours.
We still carry around an orphan mentality at times.
Most of us have had father figures.
(My son plays with figures…they are replicas of people.)
A lot of fathers are replicas of Adam, not our Heavenly Father, and it causes us to respond to Him, God, like we did to them.
So, we try fending for ourselves.
That’s where anxiety comes from.
We start taking thoughts of tomorrow, today.
Jesus came, as the proof of The Father’s PROVISION.
The sacrifice was made and pleasing.
Now it’s simply up to us to respond to His provision.
Will we Trust Jesus is enough?
That His Blood is more than sufficient against the weight of sin and shame.
That He became poor so we could become rich.
That By His Stripes we WERE HEALED?
Payment has already been made into our accounts.
Do we dare make a draw on them!?
