Beauty And The Beast

Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped, to subdue nations before him and to loose the belts of kings, to open doors before him that gates may not be closed:2 “I will go before you and level the exalted places,fn I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut through the bars of iron,3 I will give you the treasures of darkness and the hoards in secret places, that you may know that it is I, the LORD, the God of Israel, who call you by your name.4

My babies and I have been watching Beauty and The Beast on our lunch hour.

Perks of homeschool life.

And, they aren’t babies, but that’s what I call them so why church it up on here.

But as I’ve been pondering the latest events while watching for deer,

(Which I just harvested, btw…Woop woop!)

I was drawn back to that title after seeing this passage of Word about Cyrus.

We are Beauty.

The Church is the Beauty of God.

The World, is The Beast.

But God so loved it.

That He sent His Son-

Who was the Ultimate Beauty.

He started this thing.

In the world.

The beastly world.

He came in and opened doors, and said the gates couldn’t prevail, against His Beauty.

Beauty had an eye for something inside of Beast.

She looked past his mistaken identity and drew him back to who he really was.

Isn’t that what we are to do, Beauty?

This world that God so loved, is also under a curse-

Inside a dark castle of its own.

Beauty broke down the gates, in honor of Her Father.

She was looking for that which she loved that had been taken captive.

She traded her life for His.

Isn’t that us, Church?

Aren’t we supposed to be in honor of our Father?

I know the Beauty I call King, does that.

As we honor Him, something about us draws the darkness closer.

They long to be set free.

Take this passage of His Word and put your name where Cyrus is.

Believe God says this about you.

You are In Christ and He is in you.

Oh, what Beauty.

The Beast is taking notice.
