Full Length Mirror

“The Life-Light was the real thing: Every person entering Life he brings into Light. He was in the world, the world was there through him, and yet the world didn’t even notice. He came to his own people, but they didn’t want him. But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:9-13‬ ‭MSG‬‬

“He made to be their true selves.”

I’ve been pondering on a full length mirror since yesterday, when I saw Jesus proclaiming His heart of going the full distance of His love for His friends in John 13.

I want that too.

Not just in theory, but in Truth.

In action.

In 1 Corinthians, the 13th Love chapter, Paul says that love is the full distance.

(See 1 Corinthians 13 for Love’s description.)

Short of that, Love, we prophecy and use our gifts in part.

Doesn’t that seem like a picture of mirrors?

Only looking in a mirror, do you see who you really are.

I can walk around pretending I know who or what I look like, but that reflection staring back at me, when I choose to look-

tells the truth!

But what kind of mirror are we looking into?

There are some that are compact-

Just showing a portion of our face.

Some are mirrors are bigger yet,

And bigger still, until you stand in front of a full length mirror to see your whole body.

Looking at HIM, full length… Love Perfected,

is the True reflection of who we were designed to be.

If He was, we are.

If He did, we can.

If He said, we have.

Look at yourself, Beauty!
