They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” Revelation 17:14
Our Pastor simply read one of the accounts of Jesus’ birth on Sunday, and finished by saying..
“This is enough..”
“I don’t have to comment or add to this, it will change your life, because it’s TRUTH.”
So, I mosied on over to A Brother of Mine and said,
“What did you get?”
As if we’d all grabbed a present from underneath the Tree Of Life…
Can’t you just picture us, like little children around God’s Living Room on Christmas morning?
He said, “I got Armor!”
Which was a confirmation to what I had gotten as well.
“I got Prophesy.” I said.
And the truth about it.
We had been in Luke 2, and verse 33 shined out to me like a glistening new diamond.
Simeon, the elderly prophet, was speaking to Mary and Joseph, in all their excitement and joy, about another day to come.
He spoke of The End result of this baby’s life, as a gift of preparation through prophecy.
From what I see about prophecy, from Genesis to revelation,
It’s not always what we want to hear.
I’m sure the new proud parents of The Lord, did not want to hear about a piercing sword…
But prophecy is a gift, to KEEP US safe and secure amidst what’s ahead.
I could tell you all day long that the road ahead isn’t out, but soon, as you were driving off the embankment, you would have wished I would have told you what I really saw.
Simeon was a True Prophet.
Earlier on Christmas morning, my sister sent me Isaiah 9, and I reluctantly responded with what I got…
And that present,
was the understanding that this gift of a Savior was born right smack dab in the midst of darkness.
A light shown in darkness…
But that didn’t mean, all responded to it.
But those who did, Ah, they were given the Light.
Simeon was simply preparing Mary’s heart for what Jesus had come to accomplish.
And I perceive that The Lord is doing the same for us.
Right now.
He fast forwarded me to this earlier verse in Revelation 17 on Monday.
Darkness is here.
And it’s looking for a fight…
BUT, we’ve already WON.
It is WRITTEN.
As I had said previously, when the disciples asked Jesus to remove their current worldly leadership, that’s not what Jesus did.
Instead, He removed their fear, by clothing them with His Power OVER IT.
Check out Acts 1 and 2.
Allow Jesus to share with you what He shared with the early church.
He didn’t prophesy what they wanted to hear.
He told them TRUTH.
That made them free-
From the fear that was blinding them to what HE GAVE them POWER OVER.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
So,
