How amazing would it be, to wake up every day with a total cancellation of everything yesterday?
To have never known the wrongs.
To be able to take today and cherish it for all,
It’s worth.
There’s a movie with this title, in which a car accident left a girl with no recollection of the past.
She lives every day as the same day she had the accident.
She has loved ones that have to change the world for her-
To match where she is in her moment of time.
Aren’t we like that sometimes?
We expect for the people we love to rally around where we are in our mind.
And if that’s the past, usually it causes a disruption of the here and now.
What if we just had no recollection of our past?
What if all we could see is today, in contentment, getting the most out of every moment?
I was reminded by Todd White not long ago, that a particular place in the book of Romans says that nothing, can separate us from the Love God has for us…
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.37 ¶ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
He says, notice, there IS NO PAST.
God has this special ability, to forget.
And if He has it, we can have it too, by taking on the mind of Christ.
He actually said He remembers our sins no more for His sake.
Can you imagine how much He loves us?
He doesn’t want to remember.
It’s for Love sake.
He yearns to be with us so much, that He, Himself, dealt with our sin to make our past non existent.
Jesus nailed our past to the cross.
I’m fully persuaded, that if we see ourselves in this Light, we will also see others in the same way.
Here’s to 50, (the number of Pentecost)
first dates……
With God, and each other.
Let’s begin living in the here and now.
