“And when we are fully restored, you will rejoice and take delight in every offering of our lives as we bring our sacrifices of righteousness before you in love!”
Psalms 51:19 TPT
I admonish you to read all of this chapter in Psalms 51.
David had already been confirmed as King.
And He had already failed.
But his failure wasn’t final.
His heart cry touched mine.
The effects of sin can stain a soul-
But from this good place of repentance and mourning,
Jesus called us even Higher.
HE, did, what David cried out for.
Full restoration.
Look with me in John 20.
“Mary arrived back at the tomb, broken and sobbing. She stooped to peer inside, and through her tears she saw two angels in dazzling white robes, sitting where Jesus’ body had been laid—one at the head and one at the feet! “Dear woman, why are you crying?” they asked. Mary answered, “They have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they’ve laid him.” Then she turned around to leave, and there was Jesus standing in front of her, but she didn’t realize that it was him! He said to her, “Dear woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?” Mary answered, thinking he was only the gardener, “Sir, if you have taken his body somewhere else, tell me, and I will go and . . .” “Mary,” Jesus interrupted her. Turning to face him, she said, “Rabboni!” (Aramaic for “My teacher!”) Jesus cautioned her, “Mary, don’t cling to me, for I haven’t yet ascended to God, my Father. And he’s not only my Father and God, but now he’s your Father and your God! Now go to my brothers and tell them what I’ve told you, that I am ascending to my Father—and your Father, to my God—and your God!” Then Mary Magdalene left to inform the disciples of her encounter with Jesus. “I have seen the Lord!” she told them. And she gave them his message.”
John 20:11-18 TPT
Notice Mary came back to the tomb.
She did it again!
What looked like failure, didn’t stop her.
Through her sobbing, her emotional chaos and uncertainty, she pressed back in.
And, her eyes were opened, by His voice.
And what did He tell her?
He told her that She was fully restored to the family.
He was now going to His God, and Her God.
Sin’s weight had been lifted.
Hallelujah.
Full restoration of God’s heart to humanity had been accomplished.
“Do not fear, O land; be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done great things!”
Joel 2:21 AMP
So the burning question on my heart today for myself and for the Body is,
Why are we crying?
He’s already accomplished all that we need.
Do we, as believer’s need revival or revelation?
Jesus was and is Alive!
He was alive, standing in front of Mary, contrary to what she felt.
And the Truth is, He’s Alive today, and seated at the right hand of The Father.
To the Believer, His Spirit in us, will never die.
To the non believer, there needs to be a revival.
They need to pass from death to life.
But as believer’s, we simply need revelation, an eye opener to what He has done!
We need to know what we have and what we’re called to do because of The Resurrection.
And then, like Mary, we will move out with boldness to tell others what we see in Jesus!
