“Differing weights [one for buying and another for selling] and differing measures, Both of them are detestable and offensive to the LORD.”
Proverbs 20:10 AMP
We had to repent.
I gave you the day after story at first…
In Seeing Him in the Celebrations.
When we got to our first camp site, we discovered some unpleasantness.
The new to us, yet, ole girl, (camper) we bought needed some major cleaning.
My happily ever after new camper idea, was to pull it from where we got it, set it up with those fancy new electric jacks, and go straight in and enjoy our Arby’s…
My plans-
and reality,
weren’t shaking hands that evening.
So after some toddler- like huffing and puffing, my sweet man, as he often does our family,
Arrested my negative attitude, and stopped me, by having to give 5 things we were THANKFUL for.
It literally turned our evening around.
It was like we had been walking around with our eyes closed!
We got back to the camper after hitting the grand ole D G.. Dollar General, for some cleaning supplies and had our selves a great time.
I think our food even tasted better!
I said all of that to get to this scripture:
“Differing weights [one for buying and another for selling] and differing measures, Both of them are detestable and offensive to the LORD.”
Proverbs 20:10 AMP
I was using a slighted scale-
Frustrated by the lack of excellence from my seller,
I was reminded but The Holy Spirit, of the lady bugs, that I didn’t get to get out, that had weaseled their way into the camper I was selling…
Then I remembered the pile of things just sitting in my dining room at home, that the average guest would not know was only there in transit, simply because we’ve been busy and on the road most of this week.
They could say I wasn’t the best of house keepers either.
Whatever the case, I was judging the seller by my mint intentions,
And on what I was seeing at the time.
I had days prior said to my husband, we sell things loving our neighbor as ourself.
If we would be upset when receiving the item a certain way, it needs addressed.
If not, then move forward.
The problem sometimes, is that we see what bothers us as a mountain instead of the molehill it really is.
Our perception gets off because of the unjust scales.
Working out salvation is working out salvation.
PERIOD.
Whether you’re lifting 5 lbs or 50.
We all have to start with the 5!
That’s what we forget!
So, because Holy Ghost is always the Same… He corrected me and pointed me back, yet again, to the Word.
Thank you Jesus.
In the celebration and correction!
