“You have built a stronghold by the songs of children. Strength rises up with the chorus of infants. This kind of praise has power to shut Satan’s mouth. Childlike worship will silence the madness of those who oppose you.”
Psalms 8:2 TPT
Wow!
This is a stirring for me this morning.
How could it be, that in a dark and perverse culture, innocence is being fully restored to the children of God?
Those were my thoughts.
And then God replied to me.
Is my arm shortened?
Did I not grow a tender shoot out of a dry ground (according to Isaiah 53)?
That was His Son, by the way.
Our brother.
The now Highly exalted King.
As I brought our trash cans down our gravel road yesterday, thinking about the seeds I was about to start for the flower bed,
I took notice of some tender shoots, out of dry ground.
Like He said in Isaiah, they had no form or comeliness.
I wouldn’t want to start that kind of plant from seed.
I’ll just say that.
It wasn’t enjoyable or eye appealing.
They just looked like weeds.
Yet, He used that description about the Son.
The world views things way different than the Father.
So, of course, Jesus wasn’t a rock star they had been looking for.
He was just a plain, average creation.
Yet the very One Who created all things.
All things were made by Him, and for Him.
His pleasure.
He reminded me as I walked along.
That I take after Him when I grow things.
If Jesus used every day lessons with tangible hands on activities, then I recognize that as His voice now.
The small and seemingly insignificant things matter in a Big way.
Look at this verse again:
“You have built a stronghold by the songs of children. Strength rises up with the chorus of infants. This kind of praise has power to shut Satan’s mouth. Childlike worship will silence the madness of those who oppose you.”
Psalms 8:2 TPT
This kind of praise.. childlike.
Small in size, but not heart- kind of praise-
Has the power to shut satan’s mouth.
Let this settle…..
I want to encourage and stir you in this same direction today.
Look for the small things.
Start praising right there, in the smallest victory.
You can’t imagine the excitement when I see the first of the sprouts in the green room.
Life has come forth!
Our Father receives the same Pleasure as we praise and respond to our God given innocence.
You think about it.
Every time we praise, we’re humbly declaring His Fatherhood.
It stirs our dependency on Him.
He takes notice and delights.
He told us not to despise the small beginnings.
Here’s why:
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. Matthew 13: 31-33
Father,
We praise you and Thank You for our innocence.
We thank you that we are yours, and The Seed In is is growing stronger and surer still.
We arise and shine today, Because Your LIGHT has come.
In Jesus.
