Making Love….
That term is thrown around so loosely,
and yet,
It’s impossible to make love.
Love is received, and only then can it be given.
Simple as that.
Making Love is a fleshly effort and the flesh can’t love.
It can only lust.
It always wants more because it can never be filled.
So why do we try to make love?
Oh, I’m just as guilty.
That’s why I end up frustrated.
God is Love, and you and I can’t ever make God.
As soon as the Love I tried to make fails,
I want to be over it!
So I have to repent.
Change my mind to agree with what Love, Himself,
Reminded me this morning.
He Loved Me, first.
Before I ever Loved Him.
As I behold Love, I reflect it.
It can’t be made.
Made love is easy to identify.
But His Love…. it goes the distance, even though in reality, it’s already crossed the Finish Line.
If you’re lacking in the Love department, stop trying to make more,
And Simply, Look to Love Himself.
Let Him remind you of what, and Who real love
looks like.
