““What delight comes to you when you wait upon the Lord! For you will find what you long for.”
Matthew 5:4 TPT
I just read again this morning about the servers,
the “waiters,” as we would call them today,
that were serving at the wedding where Jesus turned water into wine.
Tis the season for me.
Waiting. Serving.
Tis the season for all of us.
All of us, that is, that want to see Greater things happen.
Simple obedience opens the door for more.
I was drawn again, to the “pick up your jacket” lesson the Holy Spirit gave me almost seven years ago.
Again?
Yes. Again.
Isn’t that what the boy asked Jackie Chan.
Yet, that simple act of obedience, picking up the jacket,
won him the ultimate fighting championship.
I was literally looking at all the jackets….
on the backs of chairs,
hanging on the rails, lining my dining room table.
For real, I asked myself?!
You’d think you would have learned by now.
But Praise Jesus, I am.
We are.
In the every day and the mundane, His Grace is there,
Teaching us.
We learn submission through obedience.
What simple task have you sensed the Holy Spirit nudging you to take care of?
Pick up the jacket.
