The BodyGuard

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].”
‭‭PSALM‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬ https://www.bible.com/bible/1588/psa.91.1.amp

Maybe a scene with Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston came to mind when you first glanced at the title,

or for me, the President shouting to those surrounding Him wherever he may be at the time, when an intruder or even a complainer comes too close,

“Security”……..

take this man/woman away.

It’s a place of such a position, that at your disposal, you have awaiting you, those who will take a threat completely out of your presence. It’s a confidence that you are surrounded by protection.

And according to Psalm 91, we are.

Kevin Costner, and even the bodyguards belonging to people like the president, are just human. They may fail at their attempts to protect,

but Our God, never sleeps, nor slumbers.

24/7 protection!

The problem isn’t with God being the greatest and most infallible source of protection, the problem, is whether we choose to dwell there or not.

Dwelling means to stay, be set, or remain.

So, the Holy Spirit brought up this scripture to confirm this Truth,

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

Where is this man’s mind?

Stayed, on Him.

I don’t know about you, but I’m so done,  reasoning with the enemy.

He is a liar. Jesus told us that truth.

So, why do I even let him in a little?

Subtily, when I choose to focus on the problems, the fear, the symptoms, or  the struggle,

I’ve stepped out of the secret place.

It starts in our mind.

We were told to take EVERY thought captive.

If we keep our minds on Him, then it’s easier to recognize what doesn’t look like Him,

but if we don’t look at Him very often, it’s dangerous.

What you don’t know can hurt you.

Every day is an opportunity.

A brand New day, with New Mercy to come into His Presence, the Secret Place.

Let’s Get to Know Him, not just know of Him.

When we do, we dwell, and the God of the whole earth, is our Body Guard.
