I would have to go back and look, but I remember writing in the beginning of this blog, about a question I was asked in a devotional that I was reading one morning, that rocked my world.
It was this…
“If someone were to ask you Who Jesus is, what would you say?”
And sadly, I had to own up to what was in my heart at the time.
The answer was,
Jesus is my job.
That broke my heart, which was a good thing, and compelled me to find out where I had gone astray.
I was teaching others about Jesus.
The very thing that the devotional wanted to spur us to do.
But in all honestly, who was Jesus to me?
So, fast forward, or rather go back through this journey of my life through blogging, and see how I got here • today,
Where-
Jesus Is My JOY.
It’s something how one letter can change your life.
One letter.
That would have been from God breathing through Paul to me in the book of Ephesians chapter 3.
Particularly the beautifully hand crafted letters about being rooted and grounded in Love.
I was aiming for Love,
But I wasn’t rooted in His Love.
Remember how I’ve learned that we can’t make love?
God is Love so the only way we can truly love is in and through Him, and His Love for us.
That Love was displayed through Jesus.
That Love was the Joy set before Him. (Hebrews 12)
Us.
His Love, is now my Joy.
And set before me is the opportunity of a life time.
To fulfill His Joy.
He purchased it all for me.
To use, in His stead.
We work together now, until the World is aware of His Love, and His enemies are made His footstool by the Power He paid for.
