You CAN

I used to sing a song that was brought back to my remembrance a few days ago.

It was Good Friday.

We were celebrating death.

We are to take on Jesus, so Friday for me was an awareness that all flesh dies in the Presence of The Holy One.

(That was a borrowed revelation from my Sister.)

In His presence, the things that we don’t want to do, become opportunities for His life to Rise up.

Against what I felt, I chose to run that day.

Then as I sat to get ready for my date with my man, I gazed into the mirror and these lyric came up..

“Because He lives, I can… “

Face tomorrow.

“Because He lives, every fear is gone.

I know He holds, my life, my future in His

hands….”

Amen. Amen.

Let my song join the one that never ends!

Because He lives.

I was at the time, pondering on a dear friend of mine who was struggling.

Not sure on what Father would have me say, He reminded me of these lyrics.

And of the time the disciples were in the Storm.

After, Jesus had given them Word.

Circumstances don’t define us.

The Word does.

Even though the storm came, The Word was and Rest, in the boat.

He rose up, and said, Peace, Be still.

That’s what we’re celebrating today.

I woke up this morning around 4 to a bird who must have been eagerly awaiting Sunrise Service.

What is that anyway?

We had one last year as a church.

It was fun.

But this particular morning, as I opened up to Matthew 28, I saw what an actual sunrise service looked like.

There were a group of precious ladies, that could not rest until they had done all they could for Jesus.

They were coming prepared with what “they thought” they could do.

Not sure of what they would find-

But with some ideas, and some precious things to spice up the tomb.

I don’t know if you may be attending a service for the first time in a long time this morning-

If you don’t know what to expect from the church you’ve been going to,

because there seems to be some serious stones blocking the way-

Or if you think you know what you’ll find as you’ve made your preparations…

Let me remind you what the Word says:

“And a great earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone [from the opening of the tomb], and sat on it. The angel’s appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow. The guards shook, paralyzed with fear [at the sight] of him and became like dead men [pale and immobile]. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said [He would]. Come! See the place where He was lying. Then go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee [as He promised]. There you will see Him; behold, I have told you.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:2-7‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Let’s recap…

A great earthquake had occurred.

The stone had been rolled.

And Jesus.

Was ahead of them!

Just like He said He would be!

Brothers and Sisters, The Word (Jesus) was, is, and is to come.

He’s Alive!

Now. Go.

Tell your brothers and Sisters.

Whatever looks dead..

Remind it of this Truth.

We no longer look for the Living among the dead.

We breathe life.

His life.

He’s already there.

Hovering over His life giving Words as our resurrected High Priest.

Happy Resurrection ❤️
