I spent some time at the mall today.

Everyone was looking for the best sale.

Myself included.

Then as my hubby busted out the guitar while ago and started to play, “You are more” I realized something, Jesus paid FULL PRICE for us.

He wasn’t a bargain shopper “, like I am, when it came to our restoration.

We were worth everything to Him.

His Father’s heart, in bringing us back to Himself was worth it all to Him.

We were expensive.

So, why do we then, discount our own lives?

Why do we settle for less than, everything Jesus paid for?

“Don’t you know who you are? And what’s been done for you?”- Tenth Avenue North (You are More lyrics)

No, sadly, most of the time we don’t realize who we are, or what’s been done for us.

If we did, there would be no holding back the reconciliation to the world that Jesus charged us with.

The Gospel is the “good news”.

Yet, all too often the church has preached some not so good news.

I picked up writing the rest of this blog several days after I started, I’m not at the mall this morning, but I’m still pondering on the Heart of God about our worth and what we know about it.

Dust and I played and sang that song this weekend at church and before I got up to sing, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the woman at the well and what Jesus told her;

If you only knew…..

If we only knew the gift that was given to us through the blood of Jesus.

He asked her, a woman. Not just a woman, but the Samaritan kind that Jews had deemed the outkast.

If that weren’t all, she didn’t have a very good reputation, if you know what I mean, but Jesus gets in her business, because He already knows it all.

Yet, He doesn’t say, “I know about you, and all your sin,” instead He says,

if you only knew….

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. John 4:10

Jesus has asked her to give Him a drink.

What He was really asking her, was to give Him access into her life to get that living water to her.

Jesus is not ever asking us to give-

to take away from us…

If we only knew, that He was asking for the access into our lives to get to get to us everything He paid for.

Because to Him, and to Our Father,

We’re worth everything.

Yes, He gave, Full Price.
